I used to be part of the old Rio gang when the cafe was still located in the Rio Grande Depot before the earthquake a few years back which caused significant damage to the structure and force the Rio to a standstill. I do like the new owner's re-visioning of the old and bringing it into the new Millenium with subtle touches of what used to be in this newer location in a much more hip neighborhood. My server was Keri and she is the last person standing and the only conduit between the old Rio and the new. I ordered the Viennese Amber which I thought was quite good and I also ordered the queso dip which I found quite delicious. I give this new interpretation of the Rio a thumbs-up and an around-the-world-and-back-snap. I'll definitely be back!! I gave 16 years to the Rio Grande Cafe and I'm thrilled to see that baton has been passed to someone else and the tradition carries on. **See You At The Rio**

Finally had a chance to check out this place! Cool vibe in a renovated fire station and great music. Service is very attentive and friendly but I wish the appetizer selection was more creative. And it would be so awesome if there was a mariachi band (maybe once a week) that has a vast knowledge of Música Ranchera!!!

Trying to think of a better place for salsa. It's so fresh. The new brunch menu is so good. I hope they keep it! Kids menu is priced well and the food is priced ok considering the inflation that is killing our economy

Monday is free queso night! You get one free per every 4 people. They gave us our own salsa bowl too which was nice! The queso was smooth and delicious! I ordered the taco loco with beef and it was heavenly. Every bite was perfect and had so much flavor. The portions are all large so you could get away with sharing! Music was throwback and it was nice. Not too loud that you can't have nice conversations with your party.
